More Than Bags: Why I Love Being a Loungefly Curator

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be surrounded by Loungefly bags, hosting live shows, building a business, and laughing with an entire community of people I met online, I’m not sure I would have believed you.
But here we are—and honestly, I love it.
Being a Loungefly curator is about so much more than simply selling backpacks. I love hunting for the special pieces: the hard-to-find exclusives, nostalgic characters, beautiful designs, seasonal favorites, and those unexpected bags that make someone immediately say, “Oh my gosh, I NEED that!”
Every bag has its person. My favorite part is helping it find them.
I carefully choose the pieces I bring into ZEN Lounge Boutique because I want my collection to feel fun, unique, and full of personality. Some people are searching for a specific grail. Others are buying their very first Loungefly. Some are looking for the perfect gift, while others just want something that makes them smile every time they carry it.
And yes, sometimes we buy a bag simply because it is ridiculously cute. That is a perfectly valid financial decision, and I will not be taking questions at this time. 😂
The Magic of Live Selling
Live selling has become one of my favorite parts of this entire adventure.
There is something completely different about shopping together in real time. We get to talk about the bags, share stories, laugh, sing, celebrate wins, and occasionally enable one another’s Loungefly habits—lovingly, of course.
My live shows aren’t meant to feel like watching a sales pitch. They’re supposed to feel like spending time with friends who understand why a backpack shaped like a favorite character can make your entire day better.
That is how my customers became my Gemsters.
Gemsters are more than customers. They are the new friends who show up for the fun, support my small business, cheer for one another, and help make ZEN Lounge feel like a real community. Whether someone purchases something, shares the show, chats with us, or simply hangs out for a while, they are part of what makes live selling so special to me.
I genuinely look forward to seeing familiar names pop into the chat. We have inside jokes, favorite characters, grail wish lists, and plenty of moments where we all agree that someone absolutely needs one more bag.
It’s not hoarding if it’s curated. I’m pretty sure that’s science.
What Are ZEN Gems?
ZEN Gems are a fun rewards system created especially for our live-show community.
During select shows, Gemsters can earn ZEN Gems through specially designated games, spots, bags, or activities. ZEN Gems may then be redeemed for eligible rewards announced during the show.
They are my way of adding a little extra sparkle to the experience and thanking the people who continue to support ZEN Lounge Boutique.
A few important things to remember:
ZEN Gems are only earned when a show or item is specifically marked as ZEN Gem eligible.
They are promotional rewards and do not have a cash value.
Redemption options and deadlines will be explained during each participating show.
Because different shows may have different themes or formats, the ways to earn and redeem ZEN Gems may change.
In other words: listen for the ZEN Gem rules at the beginning of the show, keep track of your Gems, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We want this to be exciting—not confusing!
Finding My ZEN
The name ZEN Lounge Boutique comes from three people who mean everything to me: Zeph, Ellie, and Naya.
This business is personal. It combines my love of people, collecting, creativity, community, and finding little moments of joy—even when life feels stressful or complicated.
Every order, live-show visit, website purchase, share, and kind message matters to me more than you probably realize. When you support ZEN Lounge Boutique, you are supporting a real person with a big dream, a slightly alarming number of backpacks, and a genuine love for creating joyful experiences.
